passed the country
Review of "4A-level Standardized Good Behavior Enterprise"!

Glossary
"4A-level standardized good behavior enterprise"

It is the highest praise of the National Standardization Committee for the standardization behavior of enterprises, but this honor is not "lifetime", and it is reviewed every 3 years. If the review is found to be defective in standardization, it will be delisted. Passed the review with a high score.

Not only that

Build my country's first nano-titanium dioxide
Industrial test production line

As early as the 1960s and 1970s, developed countries such as Europe, America, Japan, and South Korea started the research on nanomaterials.

What are nanomaterials? "Some people joke that it is a material made of nanometers. In fact, it is not." Cheng Qingtang, general manager of Jiangsu Hehai Nanotechnology Co., Ltd. and a professor-level senior engineer who has been deeply involved in the field of nanomaterials for 24 years, explained that nanometer is a unit of length. 1 nanometer is about one millionth of the diameter of a human hair. Nanomaterials are composed of ultrafine particles with at least one dimension between 1 and 100 nanometers in three-dimensional space, and have special functional materials that conventional materials do not have.

Because it is a special functional material, it has a series of special applications in the fields of heavy industry and light industry, and foreign developed countries have been imposing technical blockade on our country.

After the reform and opening up, with the increasing comprehensive national strength of our country, the country has placed the research on nanomaterials technology in an important position. In April 1996, Jiangsu Hehai Science and Technology Engineering Group Co., Ltd. cooperated with the Institute of Solid State Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to establish the first domestic nano-titanium dioxide enterprise. In October of that year, a pilot production line with an annual output of 5 tons of nano-titanium dioxide was built. In November, the preparation technology of nano-titanium dioxide obtained a national invention patent.

This is the first invention patent of nano-titanium dioxide in China. This nano-titanium dioxide is used in the fields of sewage treatment, flue gas denitrification, lithium-ion battery negative electrode material, etc., showing the expected special functions. For example, for sewage treatment, it can "smash" the chain of carcinogenic organic substances such as aniline in sewage, and degrade organic substances.

A small test, the first battle was won. The confidence of Cheng Qingtang and the technical team members has greatly increased. In December 1997, Cheng Qingtang and others wrote the "Proposal on New Materials - Nano-titanium Dioxide National Key Industrial Test Project", which was reported to the State Planning Commission at that time. The State Planning Commission attached great importance to it and allocated 10 million yuan of special funds to support it in September of the following year.

In April 1999, "Hehai Nano" built a pilot production line with an annual output of 50 tons of nano-titanium dioxide. In October 1999, with the approval of the then Ministry of Personnel, the first post-doctoral research station for nanomaterial preparation and application in China was established in "Hehai Nano", and soon "Jiangsu Nanomaterials and Technology Application Engineering Research Center" also settled here. . The chief scientist of the National "863" Climbing Program, the "originator" of nanomaterials and nanostructures in my country, a senior researcher of the Institute of Solid State Studies, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Zhang Lide, a researcher and chief scientist of the Saarbrücken Institute of Advanced Materials in Germany, Dr. Lu Wensheng, enjoys the State Council Special allowances, Dr. Yao Chao, a professor of Changzhou University, and a group of international and domestic nanomaterial experts have joined in one after another. In November 2001, my country's first industrial test production line with an annual output of 500 tons of nano-titanium dioxide was built in "Hehai Nano". In November of the following year, the project was rated as "National High-tech Industrialization Demonstration Project".

Realize my country's Nano Titanium Dioxide
The leap from "catch up" to "lingpao"

A firm foothold is only the first step of the "Long March". How to win the right to speak in the fierce international and domestic nanomaterials market?

In November 2003, the backbone of the decision-making, technical and management levels of the "Hehai Nano" organization went to South Korea, where the development and application of nano-materials, especially nano-titanium dioxide, are relatively mature. As one of the members of the delegation, Cheng Qingtang vigorously promoted the standardization work of the enterprise at the board of directors and general manager's office meeting after returning.

In 2005, 2012 and 2018, Hohai Nano participated in "Nano Titanium Dioxide" (GB/T19591-2004), "Titanium Dioxide for Cosmetics" (GB27599-2011) and "Risk Assessment of Nanotechnology and Nanomaterials" (GB/T37129) -2018/ISO/TR13121:2011) The formulation of three national standards has established a leading position in the field of nanomaterials in my country.

"In the meantime, 'Hehai Nano' adjusted its development strategy based on years of exploration, which is: in the international division of labor and competition, to seize the commanding heights of market segments, and to drive 'full revitalization' with 'one activity'." Cheng Qingtang said , Compared with the old and well-known nanomaterial companies in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Japan, South Korea and other countries, "Hehai Nano" started late, and it seems a little "single force", but "Hehai Nano" started from nano-titanium dioxide. He has accumulated rich experience in the development of nano-titanium dioxide. The new strategy has been deeply cultivated along the path of "nano titanium dioxide" - "nano titanium dioxide for cosmetics" - "nano titanium dioxide for sun protection", and presided over the formulation of "nano titanium dioxide for sun protection" The international standard (ISO18473-2:2015) has won the approval and support of the 66 member countries of the ISO (International Standards) organization, giving my country the right to speak in the field of international nanomaterials for the first time.

"For a long time, nano-titanium dioxide for sunscreen has been monopolized by well-known and established foreign companies. my country is not only in a weak position on the raw material side, but also has difficulty in the market due to backward technology." Cheng Qingtang introduced, "Hehai Nano" and The Chinese Academy of Sciences, Changzhou University and other scientific research institutions have worked closely together to form a number of R&D teams to tackle key problems. Using a new low-temperature crystallization process, the production of high-grade rutile nano-titanium dioxide for sunscreen has been successful. The first batch of products were exported to South Korea and were well received by customers, which opened the door to the international market of matching high-end cosmetics and created a precedent for the export and application of nanomaterials in my country. In August 2017, "Nano Titanium Dioxide for Sunscreen" was rated as "Specialized and Special New Product in Jiangsu Province". "Hehai Nano" won the title of "High-tech Enterprise" and "Taizhou Science and Technology Little Giant".

On the raw material side, the general method is adopted, and the temperature must be around 1,000 degrees Celsius. After the new process is adopted for "Hehai Nano", the temperature only needs to be below 100 degrees Celsius, and the preparation cost is greatly reduced, which is only half that of similar foreign products. This process won the first prize of scientific and technological progress of Sinopec Association.
On the market side, as "Hehai Nano" is the leading unit in the formulation of international standards and firmly holds the right to speak, the price of nano-titanium dioxide for sunscreen is 10 times that of ordinary products, and the supply is in short supply. A large European multinational company signed a long-term strategic cooperation agreement with "Hehai Nano" to promote "Hehai Nano" products in Europe; a large French cosmetic company also extended an "olive branch" to "Hehai Nano" to establish Stable partnership.

"Recently, a well-known South Korean company wanted to represent "Hehai Nano" sunscreen nano-titanium dioxide, but we flatly refused. We must firmly control the export volume and pricing power of the product, and we will never allow foreign companies to monopolize in disguise." Cheng Qingtang said firmly.
